  • Our Priorities

     We are committed to diversity.

    Women in Tech

When it comes to careers in technology, the gender paradox persists. At a time when the tech sector outpaces the employment market, only 16% of the UK’s technology workforce is female. Yet women can hack, code, design, engineer, mentor, lead, innovate and be all-around amazing. We want to tap into this potential by inspiring more women to excel in tech careers. It's time to debug the gender gap!

    Ethnic Diversity

London’s diversity is one of the strongest attributes of its

overall make-up. Our city offers a multiculturalism that is unique to almost any other global hub and we must therefore embrace it. Birkbeck, one of the most ethnically diverse universities in the UK, is in a privileged position to be at the forefront of celebrating and further investing in the capital’s multicultural population. The Work Readiness Programme gives us a pretty good reason to do so!

    People with Disabilities

The workplace is changing. With businesses looking to create a more agile workforce and untapped talent looking for work, there has never been a better time for employers to be positive about disability and to profit from the unique skills and attributes of disabled people.
